What data we collect

Data you give us

When you use the contact form, we collect the information you enter: your email address and your message, which are required, and optionally your name, your company and your country. If you write to us by email instead, we receive whatever you choose to include in your message.

Data collected automatically

Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP addresses, dates and times of access, pages requested and browser type. These logs are generated by the hosting platform for security and technical purposes, and are also used to produce aggregate visitor statistics. We do not use Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics service, and we do not use tracking or profiling cookies.

Cookies

This website uses only technical cookies, necessary for it to function — for example to remember the language you selected. It does not embed third-party services such as maps, videos or external fonts. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.

Why we use your data, and on what legal basis

We use the data you send us only to answer your enquiry and to carry on the resulting business correspondence. We do not use it for marketing, we do not send newsletters, and we do not sell, rent or share it with third parties for commercial purposes.

Where you contact us with a view to a possible commercial relationship, the legal basis is the taking of steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). In other cases the legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to those who contact us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Server logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and functioning correctly.

Where your data goes

The website is hosted in Italy by Aruba S.p.A., which acts as our data processor. Messages sent through the contact form are not stored in the website database: they are delivered by email to our company mailbox, which is also hosted by Aruba in Italy.

Transfer outside the European Economic Area. Our company is established in the People’s Republic of China, and messages received at our company mailbox are forwarded to and read by our staff in China. China is not the subject of an adequacy decision by the European Commission. This transfer is necessary for the performance of a contract with you, or for the taking of steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, within the meaning of Article 49(1)(b) GDPR: you are writing to a Chinese company precisely so that it can answer you from China.

You should be aware that the legal framework of the People’s Republic of China regarding access to data by public authorities differs from that of the European Union, and that the protections available to you there may not be equivalent to those you enjoy under EU law. If you would prefer not to send personal data outside the European Economic Area, please do not use the contact form.

How long we keep it

We keep business correspondence for as long as it is useful to the relationship it concerns, and in any case no longer than necessary for the purposes described above or required by applicable law. Enquiries that lead to no follow-up are deleted within 24 months. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period in accordance with its own retention policy.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to ask us for access to your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. You may exercise these rights at any time by writing to privacy@eurasiacooperation.com. We will respond within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority in the country where you live or work.

Automated decisions and children

We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling. This website is addressed to businesses and institutions and is not directed at children.
